Accessible reading
Clear type, visible controls and room to read.
Reading size
Article prose starts at 22 pixels with generous line spacing. Larger text increases the principal reading text to 26 pixels. Browser zoom remains available, and page content adapts to narrower screens.
Keyboard use
The main navigation, medicine-term buttons, library filters and disclosures use keyboard-operable elements. A skip link moves to the main content. Visible focus outlines show the active control, and links use readable text.
Long articles
Contents links take readers to individual sections and source notes. Related reading is grouped at the end. On narrow screens the article sidebar becomes an in-flow contents section instead of squeezing the text.
Verification and limits
We test representative mobile, desktop and larger-text layouts, alongside automated accessibility checks and keyboard interactions. These checks do not prove a flawless experience with every assistive technology. Page controls reset on reload; browser-level reading preferences remain another option.
